Bid-Ontology is a 11-year journey through the world of shop-fitting in Australia & NZ.
We specialise in construction estimation & scheduling technology.
Our team comprises of highly skilled and qualified experts with varied background disciplines. From the natural sciences such as physics to architecture, financial accounting & professional quantity surveying.
The Challenge
We were tasked to build an estimation procedure, simple enough for novices, that have never set foot in the construction industry.
While being, robust enough to deliver results with minimal error margins. We aimed to simplify the daily operations of our project management team, reduce stress, and avoid the conflicts that typically arise in construction projects as they near completion.
Innovations in estimation
Our proprietary software allows for the comparison of three revised take-offs and estimates on a single screen, enhancing both accuracy and efficiency. Colour coded take-offs, detailed cost-line items, and risk assessments are displayed in real-time, mitigating errors long before on-site work begins. Our SOW, tender letters, estimate breakdowns, take-oU are all highly visible to builders and clients, neutralising any arguments as to who's to blame for mistakes. Mistakes are part of any model; and our system allows us to track these incredibly well. Which means our system learns at an unprecedented rate.
